ABS canopy to fit the John Deere 2010 and Newer T Series Gator Utility Vehicles.

Rear screen panel helps keep the sun off your back while operating the gator.

The sunshade frame is made from durable 16-gauge tubular steel.

John Deere Gator TS, TX & TE Hardtop Canopy 30555

Add firm overhead shade to your John Deere Gator with Original Tractor Cab Hardtop Canopy 30555. This model-fit canopy is made for compatible John Deere Gator TS, TX, and TE T-Series utility vehicles. So, you can add useful sun and overhead weather protection while keeping the sides of your Gator open.

A hard ABS roof forms the top of the canopy. Meanwhile, a strong 16-gauge tubular steel frame supports the roof over the operator station. A rear screen also helps shade the driver and passenger from sun that enters from behind.

Original Tractor Cab designed the 30555 canopy around the John Deere T-Series Gator platform. The current installation guide names the TS, TX, and TE Gators. Dealer fit data also lists compatible 2010 and newer T-Series machines with the poly or Deluxe cargo box and bed rails.

Fit matters because John Deere has made many Gator models and configurations. Therefore, check your exact model, year, cargo box, and bed rail setup before you order.

Hardtop Canopy for John Deere Gator T-Series Utility Vehicles

A John Deere Gator can spend a full day outside. Owners use these machines to haul tools, move supplies, care for property, work around farms, and travel between jobs.

Yet an open operator station leaves the driver and passenger in direct sun. Likewise, light rain can fall straight onto the seats and occupants.

Original Tractor Cab Canopy 30555 adds a hard roof above the operator station. As a result, the Gator gains useful overhead cover without becoming a full enclosed cab.

Fits Compatible John Deere Gator TS, TX and TE Models

The Original Tractor Cab installation manual identifies 30555 as the canopy kit for John Deere Gator TS, TX, and TE models. These machines are part of Deere's traditional T-Series utility vehicle family.

Dealer fit information lists the canopy for compatible 2010 and newer T-Series Gators. It also identifies machines with the poly or Deluxe cargo box and bed rails.

However, model name alone does not prove fit. John Deere changed Gator equipment through the years. So, confirm your vehicle setup before purchase.

Hard ABS Canopy Roof

Canopy 30555 uses a hard ABS roof. Therefore, the operator gets a firm top instead of a soft fabric canopy.

The hard roof helps block direct overhead sun. In addition, it can reduce direct contact with light rain and other normal weather from above.

ABS is tough for normal canopy use. Still, the roof is not a safety structure, impact shield, or falling-object guard.

16-Gauge Tubular Steel Frame

A firm roof needs strong support. For that reason, Canopy 30555 uses a 16-gauge tubular steel frame.

The frame includes model-fit front supports and rear posts. Together, these parts hold the hardtop above the Gator operator area.

Inspect the frame and mounting hardware often. Also, tighten loose hardware as the current installation instructions direct.

Rear Screen Adds More Shade

Sun does not always come from directly above. It can also reach the operator from behind as the Gator changes direction.

Therefore, Canopy 30555 includes a rear screen panel. The screen helps shade the back of the operator area while keeping the sides open.

The rear screen is not a safety guard. It cannot stop thrown debris, branches, cargo, or other objects.

Sun Protection for Your John Deere Gator

Long days outside can mean hours of direct sun. This is common on farms, acreages, parks, large yards, and commercial properties.

Canopy 30555 puts a hard roof above the driver and passenger. So, it can reduce a large amount of direct overhead sun.

The open sides still allow sunlight to reach the occupants. Therefore, continue to use sunscreen, proper clothing, eye protection, and other normal sun-safety steps.

Shade Without Closing In the Operator Station

A full cab and a hardtop canopy serve different needs. A cab surrounds much of the operator area, while Canopy 30555 leaves the front and sides open.

That open design allows natural airflow around the occupants. Meanwhile, the hard roof blocks direct sun from above.

For warm-weather use, this mix of shade and airflow can be a practical choice.

Overhead Rain Protection

A sudden light rain can make an open Gator less pleasant to use. Canopy 30555 adds a solid ABS roof over the operator area.

As a result, it can help block rain that falls straight down. However, rain can still enter through the open front and sides.

This product is not a sealed rain cab. Stop operating when rain, wind, lightning, or poor visibility makes travel unsafe.

Not a Full All-Weather Gator Cab

Canopy 30555 is a hardtop canopy, not a full enclosure. It does not have side doors that seal the operator area.

Likewise, it does not create a heated or insulated space. Snow, sleet, rain, dust, and wind can enter from the open areas.

Choose a full compatible enclosure when your main goal is greater foul-weather coverage.

A Useful Canopy for Farm and Property Work

Gators often move people and supplies between many small jobs. For example, an owner may carry hand tools, fencing supplies, feed, landscape material, or other cargo.

Those trips can add up to many hours outdoors. Therefore, overhead shade can make a useful difference during bright summer weather.

Canopy 30555 stays over the operator area while the rear cargo box remains available for normal approved work.

Useful for Grounds and Property Care

Large properties often require frequent utility vehicle trips. Workers may carry tools, inspect grounds, collect material, or move supplies.

A hardtop gives the operator a shaded area during those trips. In turn, the open sides preserve easy entry and exit.

Always use the vehicle only as John Deere directs. A canopy does not increase payload, towing, speed, or passenger limits.

Useful Around Farms and Acreages

Farm work can keep a Gator moving all day. Trips may run from a barn to a field, fence, pasture, shop, or equipment area.

Direct sun can follow the operator during every trip. So, Canopy 30555 provides a simple way to add overhead shade to a compatible Gator.

The canopy does not turn the vehicle into an off-road safety cab. Drive for the terrain and load at all times.

Model-Fit Front Canopy Supports

Original Tractor Cab does not rely on a loose universal roof for Canopy 30555. Instead, the kit uses front supports made around the compatible Gator operator area.

The installation guide identifies separate right and left front support and windshield-frame parts. These parts mount near the front fender and frame area.

Correct assembly matters. Therefore, read the complete installation guide before starting the job.

Rear Posts Mount Near the Seat Area

The canopy also uses right and left rear posts. During installation, these posts attach near the rear grab-handle area.

A rear support then joins the two sides. Afterward, the hardtop mounts to the upper frame.

Follow the current instructions in order. Do not substitute loose hardware or change mounting points without approval from Original Tractor Cab.

Hardtop Mounts to the Upper Frame

The ABS top sits on the assembled canopy frame. Installation instructions call for leveling the roof before final tightening.

Proper alignment helps the canopy sit as intended. Likewise, it helps keep the frame from being pulled out of shape during assembly.

Check all fasteners again after the first period of use. Vibration and normal vehicle movement can loosen hardware over time.

Check Overhead Clearance After Installation

A canopy makes the Gator taller. Therefore, a doorway or branch that once cleared the vehicle may contact the new roof.

Measure total vehicle height after Canopy 30555 is installed. Then, compare that height with garage doors, trailers, sheds, tree limbs, and other overhead objects.

Never assume that an opening is high enough. Slow down and check when clearance is close.

Watch for Low Tree Limbs

Tree limbs can damage a canopy. More important, a large limb can create a risk to the driver and passenger.

So, inspect the route before driving below low branches. Avoid any limb that may strike the roof or frame.

Canopy 30555 does not provide falling-object protection.

Keep the Canopy Frame in Good Condition

A quick inspection can help find a problem before it grows. Check the roof, frame, brackets, rear screen, and fasteners before regular use.

Look for loose bolts, bent tubes, cracks, tears, or damaged mounting points. Then, correct the problem before using the canopy again.

Never keep driving with a loose roof or damaged support.

Clean the ABS Hardtop With Care

Grass, dirt, pollen, and dust can collect on the hardtop. First, rinse away loose material.

Next, use mild soap and water when more cleaning is needed. Avoid harsh chemicals unless Original Tractor Cab approves them for the roof material.

Regular cleaning also makes it easier to inspect the top for damage.

Keep the Gator Properly Ventilated

The gasoline-powered TS and TX Gators produce engine exhaust. Therefore, never run them in a closed garage, trailer, barn, or other confined space without proper ventilation.

A canopy does not seal the operator station. Even so, wind and nearby walls can change the way exhaust moves.

Stop the engine if fumes collect near the driver or passenger.

Canopy 30555 Does Not Add Passenger Capacity

A roof does not change the number of people a Gator can safely carry. Always use only the seats and passenger locations approved by John Deere.

Likewise, never let a person ride on the canopy frame, roof, cargo box edge, or another unapproved location.

Follow the vehicle operator manual for occupant and cargo limits.

Canopy 30555 Is Not Rollover Protection

The 16-gauge steel tubes support the canopy roof. They are not a certified Roll-Over Protective Structure.

Therefore, never treat the canopy frame as a roll bar. It cannot protect the operator from a rollover or collision.

Drive at a safe speed and use extra care on slopes, rough ground, loose soil, and wet surfaces.

Do Not Use the Canopy as a Cargo Rack

The hard roof may look like a place to carry light items. However, Canopy 30555 is not a cargo rack.

Do not strap tools, lumber, ladders, feed, or other loads to the roof or frame. Extra weight can damage the canopy and change vehicle stability.

Use the Gator cargo box and approved cargo accessories instead.

Do Not Use the Frame as a Tie-Down Point

Canopy supports are not vehicle tie-down points. So, never attach trailer straps, chains, tow ropes, or lifting equipment to the canopy frame.

Use only the tie-down and towing points approved for the Gator. This helps keep transport loads away from the canopy structure.

Follow the John Deere manual when hauling or towing the vehicle.

John Deere Gator TS, TX and TE Specifications

Canopy 30555 covers more than one John Deere Gator model. Therefore, the vehicle specifications differ by machine.

The TS and TX use gasoline engines, while the TE uses electric power. Payload, cargo capacity, speed, suspension, and vehicle weight also vary.

Always use the operator manual for your exact Gator. The specifications below help explain the main machines associated with Canopy 30555.

John Deere Gator TS 4x2 Specifications

350cc Single-Cylinder Gasoline Engine

John Deere lists a 350cc single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline engine for the Gator TS 4x2 in current manufacturer data.

The engine uses an overhead-valve design and air cooling. Deere lists gross SAE output at about 11.3 horsepower.

Published engine speed for the rated output is 3,300 rpm. However, exact data can vary by production year and market.

TS Continuously Variable Transmission

The Gator TS uses a continuously variable transmission, or CVT. This design lets the vehicle move through its travel range without a conventional multi-speed manual gearbox.

John Deere lists forward speed from zero to about 20 mph. In addition, a manual differential lock can add traction when needed.

A differential lock does not remove the risk of getting stuck or sliding. Therefore, match speed to the ground.

TS Payload and Towing Capacity

John Deere lists TS payload capacity at about 900 pounds in current manufacturer specifications. Published towing capacity on level ground is also about 900 pounds.

Payload includes more than cargo in the bed. Occupants and other carried weight must also stay within the vehicle limits.

Never assume that Canopy 30555 increases a Gator load rating. It does not.

TS Standard Cargo Box

John Deere specifications for the TS show a standard 16-gauge steel cargo box in some configurations. Published box capacity is about 500 pounds.

The box measures about 39.5 inches long, 49 inches wide, and 9 inches deep in the referenced specification set. Volume is about 10.2 cubic feet.

However, Canopy 30555 dealer fit information calls for compatible T-Series machines with the poly or Deluxe box and bed rails. Therefore, cargo-box style must be checked before ordering.

John Deere Gator TX 4x2 Specifications

675cc V-Twin Gasoline Engine

Current John Deere manufacturer data lists a 675cc V-twin four-stroke gasoline engine for the Gator TX 4x2.

The air-cooled engine uses overhead valves. Deere lists gross SAE output near 19 horsepower in current published data.

Older U.S. TX specifications list lower published horsepower values for some model years. So, use the serial number and year when exact engine data matters.

TX CVT Drive

The Gator TX also uses a continuously variable transmission. John Deere lists a maximum forward speed of about 20 mph.

A manual differential lock is standard in current manufacturer specifications. This can help when one rear wheel begins to lose traction.

Always slow down before rough ground or a turn. Utility vehicle stability depends on speed, terrain, load, and driver actions.

TX 1,000-Pound Payload Capacity

John Deere lists current TX payload capacity at about 1,000 pounds. Published towing capacity on level ground is also about 1,000 pounds.

Payload includes the people and material carried by the vehicle. Therefore, never place the full payload rating in the cargo box.

Follow the current John Deere load chart for your exact machine.

TX Deluxe Cargo Box

The TX uses Deere's Deluxe cargo box in current specifications. The box has polypropylene side panels and tailgate with a steel floor and load guard.

John Deere lists the box at about 45 inches long, 52 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. Published volume is 16.4 cubic feet.

Cargo-box capacity is about 600 pounds. The tailgate can open or be removed, while the box can also convert to a flat-bed layout.

TX Suspension

The current Gator TX uses independent spring-over-shock front suspension. John Deere lists about 5 inches of front suspension travel.

The rear also uses a spring-over-shock arrangement in current TX specifications. This helps the vehicle handle normal utility work and changing ground.

The canopy does not change suspension ratings. Therefore, stay within Deere's vehicle and cargo limits.

TX Ground Clearance

John Deere lists about 5.7 inches of clearance below the TX transaxle. Under the foot platform, published clearance is about 10.6 inches.

Ground clearance does not guarantee that every obstacle is safe to cross. Instead, approach rough areas slowly and avoid objects that can strike the vehicle.

Remember that Canopy 30555 also adds height above the machine.

John Deere Gator TE 4x2 Electric Specifications

48-Volt Electric Drive

The Gator TE is different from the TS and TX because it uses electric power. John Deere lists a 48-volt electrical system with eight batteries in the published TE specification set.

A wound direct-drive electric motor moves the vehicle through a geared transaxle. As a result, the TE can work without a gasoline engine.

John Deere also promotes the TE for quiet operation and zero exhaust emissions from the vehicle during use.

TE 13 MPH Maximum Speed

John Deere lists TE travel speed at about 13 mph. The controller also provides features that help manage speed and vehicle movement.

For example, Deere describes dynamic braking, reduced reverse speed, anti-roll away control, and regenerative operation.

These electronic systems do not replace careful driving. Slow down for turns, slopes, people, and rough ground.

TE Onboard Battery Charger

The Gator TE includes an onboard charger. Therefore, the vehicle can connect to a suitable electrical receptacle without moving the charger separately.

John Deere lists a high-frequency switched-mode charger in its TE specifications. The system also includes an external charge indicator.

Follow Deere's charging instructions. Never use damaged cords, plugs, or electrical equipment.

TE Payload Capacity

John Deere lists a TE payload capacity of about 900 pounds. Published towing capacity is about 600 pounds.

Vehicle weight is about 1,389 pounds in the referenced Deere specifications. The battery system accounts for part of that weight.

Canopy 30555 does not change the rated payload or towing capacity.

TE Deluxe Cargo Box

The TE also uses the large Deluxe cargo box. John Deere lists a box length of 45 inches and an inside width of about 52 inches.

Published box volume is 16.4 cubic feet. Deere lists cargo capacity at about 600 pounds in its TE specification table.

The polypropylene side panels and tailgate help resist dents and rust, while the box uses a steel floor and load guard.

TE Independent Front Suspension

John Deere gives the TE independent spring-over-shock front suspension. The published front travel is about 5 inches.

Rear suspension relies on high-flotation, low-pressure tires in the referenced TE specification data.

Rack-and-pinion steering controls the vehicle. So, the driver still has a simple mechanical steering layout.

TS vs. TX vs. TE Gator

The TS, TX, and TE share the basic goal of moving people and material. Yet the three machines take different paths to that job.

The TS uses a single-cylinder gasoline engine. By contrast, the TX uses a larger V-twin gasoline engine.

The TE replaces gasoline power with a 48-volt electric drive system. Therefore, its operating and service needs differ from the gas models.

Despite those differences, Original Tractor Cab lists Canopy 30555 for compatible TS, TX, and TE Gators.

Two-Person Operator Area

These Gators use side-by-side seating for a driver and one passenger in applicable configurations. The open operator station also allows easy entry and exit.

Canopy 30555 places its hardtop above this seating area. However, it does not add another approved passenger position.

Keep every occupant seated in an approved seat while the vehicle moves.

Walk-Through Operator Platform

John Deere uses a walk-through operator layout on these traditional Gator machines. That design makes it easier to enter from either side.

The canopy keeps the sides open. Therefore, normal side entry remains a key part of the operator layout.

Never place tools or cargo where they can block entry, exit, pedals, or other controls.

Gator Cargo Boxes Support Real Work

Cargo hauling is one of the main reasons people use a Gator. The TS, TX, and TE can all move useful loads when operated within their rated limits.

Box style and capacity differ by model and year. Therefore, never use a rating from another Gator as the limit for your machine.

Check the vehicle label and operator manual before carrying a heavy load.

Use the Exact Model and Serial Number for Service

John Deere has produced these Gators across many model years. Engines, electrical parts, cargo boxes, brakes, and other components can change.

So, use the complete model and serial number when ordering parts or checking service information.

The History of Original Tractor Cab Company

Original Tractor Cab began in 1939. At that time, Indiana farmer Stanley Williams needed better protection from harsh weather while working on his tractor.

So, Stanley designed a cab for his own use. Other farmers soon saw the value of his idea and wanted similar protection.

That practical solution became the start of Original Tractor Cab Co., Inc. More than eight decades later, the same company still makes products for people who work outdoors.

A Company Born From a Farm Need

The first Original Tractor Cab did not begin as a marketing idea. Instead, it began because a farmer had a real problem to solve.

Rain, wind, snow, and cold made tractor work harder. Therefore, Stanley Williams built a product that gave the operator more cover.

Other farmers faced the same problem. In turn, interest in Stanley's design began to grow.

A Small Advertisement Helped Launch the Business

Stanley placed a small advertisement in a farm publication. The response showed that his weather cab filled a need beyond his own farm.

Orders began to grow. As a result, the farm-built idea developed into an American manufacturing company.

Practical outdoor operator protection became the heart of the business.

Original Tractor Cab During World War II

World War II changed the company's early path. During the war, normal cab production stopped as manufacturing work shifted toward the war effort.

Original Tractor Cab workers made backpacks and other needed products for military use. After the war, the company returned its attention to outdoor equipment.

That ability to adapt became part of the firm's long history.

Growth Beyond the Farm Tractor

Outdoor power equipment changed after the war. Lawn and garden tractors, snowblowers, utility vehicles, and other machines became common.

Original Tractor Cab changed with them. Therefore, the company expanded beyond its early tractor cab products.

Today, its product range includes hardtop cabs, soft enclosures, snow equipment cabs, sunshades, canopies, and accessories.

Three Generations of the Williams Family

The Williams family carried Original Tractor Cab forward through three generations. Each generation worked with changing machines and new customer needs.

Yet the main goal stayed familiar. People who work outdoors still need practical protection from sun and bad weather.

Products such as Gator Canopy 30555 carry that idea into modern utility vehicles.

From Tractor Cabs to Utility Vehicle Canopies

A modern Gator is very different from the farm tractors Stanley Williams knew in 1939. Even so, the operator still works outside.

Sun and weather remain part of the job. So, a hardtop canopy follows the same basic idea that helped launch Original Tractor Cab.

Canopy 30555 gives compatible John Deere Gator owners a model-fit way to add overhead cover.

Made in the USA Since 1939

Original Tractor Cab remains based in Arlington, Indiana. The company proudly traces its American manufacturing history to 1939.

Products and equipment have changed through the years. However, the goal of helping outdoor equipment operators remains.

Gator Hardtop Canopy 30555 is part of that long product history.
