Brand new hard top cab enclosure that will fit John Deere 2032R and 2038R (2017 and Newer)  compact utility tractors. Installation time will take roughly three to four hours. There will be no holes to drill, the cab mounts use existing holes.

Fully enclosed cab with an ABS plastic hard top. Clear shatter resistant Lexan plastic is used in the rear curtain and side doors for maximum visibility. This cab comes standard with a Safety Glass Windshield and Electric Wiper Kit. Forward inclination of the windshield minimizes glare and contact with falling snow and rain. Doors are hinged with latches so getting in and out of the cab is easy and quick.

John Deere 2032R & 2038R 2 Series Hardtop Cab 40371

Keep working when rain, snow, sleet, wind, and cold arrive. Original Tractor Cab 40371 adds a model-fit hardtop weather enclosure to John Deere 2032R and 2038R Compact Utility Tractors from model year 2017 and newer.

The cab comes with an ABS plastic hardtop, safety glass windshield, electric windshield wiper, clear Lexan side doors, and a clear rear curtain. Therefore, the operator gains useful weather cover while keeping a wide view of the tractor and work area.

Cab 40371 mounts through existing tractor locations, so normal installation does not require holes to be drilled. In addition, hinged doors with latches make entry and exit quick.

Most of all, Original Tractor Cab makes Cab 40371 in the USA.

John Deere 2032R 2038R Hardtop Cab for Year-Round Work

The John Deere 2032R and 2038R can work through every season.

However, an open operator station leaves the driver exposed to the weather. Rain can soak clothing. Snow can blow into the seat area. Likewise, cold wind can make even a short tractor job hard.

Cab 40371 helps reduce that direct exposure.

Fits 2017 and Newer John Deere 2032R and 2038R Tractors

Correct fit is important with this cab.

Original Tractor Cab specifies Cab 40371 for John Deere 2032R and 2038R Compact Utility Tractors from 2017 and newer. In addition, the tractor must use the newer layout with the fuel fill on the left side.

Check this detail before you order.

Check the Fuel Fill Location Before Buying

The fuel fill location is one of the easiest ways to confirm the correct tractor generation.

Cab 40371 is made for the newer 2032R and 2038R layout with the fuel fill on the left side. Therefore, do not order by the 2 Series name alone.

Inspect your tractor first.

Cab 40371 Does Not Fit the John Deere 2025R

John Deere currently places the 2025R in the 2 Series family.

However, Cab 40371 is not the Original Tractor Cab enclosure for the 2025R. Instead, Original Tractor Cab uses a different model-fit cab for applicable 2025R tractors.

Choose the cab by exact tractor model and configuration.

Fully Enclosed Hardtop Weather Cab

Cab 40371 surrounds much of the operator station.

A hard roof covers the top, while the windshield, side doors, and rear curtain help block direct weather from other directions. As a result, the operator gets far more coverage than the open tractor provides.

Still, this is an aftermarket weather enclosure rather than a sealed factory cab.

ABS Plastic Hardtop

The cab uses a molded ABS plastic hardtop.

A rigid roof gives the operator firm overhead weather cover. Therefore, normal rain, snow, sleet, and direct sun have a barrier before they reach the seat area.

Keep heavy snow and debris off the roof.

Safety Glass Windshield Comes Standard

Cab 40371 includes a safety glass windshield.

That feature is useful during winter and wet-weather work. In addition, glass provides the correct front surface for the electric windshield wiper that comes with the cab.

Keep the glass clean before every job.

Electric Windshield Wiper Comes Standard

Wet snow and rain can cover a windshield fast.

Therefore, Original Tractor Cab includes an electric wiper with Cab 40371. The wiper helps clear normal moisture while the operator works.

Remove heavy ice or packed snow before using it.

Forward-Angled Windshield

The windshield does more than close the front of the enclosure.

Original Tractor Cab angles the windshield forward. This design helps reduce glare and also helps limit direct contact with falling rain and snow.

The result supports a clearer forward view.

Clear Lexan Side Doors

The side doors use clear shatter-resistant Lexan plastic.

Large clear areas help the operator see beside the tractor. So, it is easier to watch nearby objects, attachments, and the ground around the machine.

Good visibility remains vital during all tractor work.

Clear Lexan Rear Curtain

The rear curtain also uses clear shatter-resistant Lexan material.

That helps preserve the view behind the tractor. Therefore, the operator can watch rear attachments and the surrounding area while gaining more weather cover.

Keep the rear panel clean.

Hinged Doors With Latches

Cab 40371 uses hinged doors.

Latches help keep the doors closed during normal operation. Meanwhile, the hinged design lets the operator get in and out without removing an enclosure panel.

Check both latches before work.

No Holes to Drill for Normal Installation

Cab 40371 uses existing tractor mounting locations.

Therefore, normal installation does not require drilling new holes in the John Deere tractor. This helps simplify installation and avoids that type of permanent change to the machine.

Use the supplied hardware in the correct locations.

Model-Fit Steel Cab Frame

A steel framework supports the enclosure.

The Cab 40371 installation manual shows model-specific front feet, posts, cross bars, rear posts, rear boxing posts, a top frame, and a ROPS mounting bracket. As a result, the enclosure forms around the tractor instead of hanging like a loose cover.

Inspect all mounts during the season.

Plan About Three to Four Hours for Installation

Original Tractor Cab estimates normal installation at roughly three to four hours.

Actual time can vary with tools and experience. Therefore, allow enough time to read the instructions and assemble each part with care.

Never rush cab installation.

Follow the Cab 40371 Installation Manual

The model-specific manual shows the correct hardware and mounting points.

So, read the complete guide before assembly. Keep the instructions after installation because they can also help with later service or seasonal removal.

Do not guess at bracket locations.

John Deere 2032R Rain Cab

Cold rain can make property work unpleasant.

Cab 40371 places a hardtop, glass windshield, doors, and rear enclosure around the operator. As a result, it helps reduce direct exposure to normal rainfall.

Wind-driven moisture may still enter through normal openings.

John Deere 2038R Snow Cab

Snow removal often happens while snow is still falling.

The hardtop and enclosure help block much of that direct snow. In addition, the standard electric wiper can help keep the safety glass windshield clear during wet conditions.

Remove heavy snow buildup before driving.

Protection From Normal Sleet

Sleet can strike an open tractor from several directions.

Therefore, the windshield, roof, side doors, and rear enclosure can make a large difference compared with an open operator station. Still, Cab 40371 is not an airtight enclosure.

Some moisture may enter.

Reduce Direct Cold Wind

Wind can make cold tractor work much harder.

Cab 40371 puts a physical barrier around much of the operator area. So, it helps reduce direct airflow compared with an open 2032R or 2038R.

Dress for the real outdoor temperature.

Useful Weather Cover for Loader Work

Loader work can continue long after summer ends.

Owners may move soil, mulch, firewood, feed, gravel, or snow with a compatible loader. Meanwhile, Cab 40371 helps give the operator more cover from cold and wet weather.

Check full loader clearance after installation.

Check Hydraulic Hose and Loader Clearance

Loader arms and hoses move through a wide range.

Therefore, cycle the loader slowly after cab installation. Watch each arm, hose, fitting, lever, and attachment for contact with the cab.

Stop if anything touches.

Useful for Winter Snow Removal

The 2032R and 2038R can run compatible snow equipment.

John Deere continues to support snowblower, blade, and other front implement setups for these tractors. As a result, Cab 40371 can be a useful addition for owners who use their 2 Series tractor through winter.

Match every attachment to the exact tractor.

Keep Every Tractor Control Clear

Safe tractor control must always come first.

Check the steering wheel, Twin Touch pedals, brake, PTO controls, hydraulic controls, loader joystick, and three-point hitch controls. Then, correct any interference before normal use.

Every control must move freely.

Keep the Factory ROPS in Place

The John Deere rollover protective structure is part of the tractor safety system.

Cab 40371 does not replace it. Therefore, never remove, cut, weld, drill, or weaken the factory ROPS just to make the enclosure fit.

Use the seat belt as John Deere directs.

Cab 40371 Is Not a ROPS

The steel cab frame supports the weather enclosure.

However, it is not a certified rollover protective structure. So, the frame, roof, windshield, and doors must never be treated as rollover protection.

Keep all factory safety equipment in place.

Not a Falling-Object Protective Structure

The hard roof gives useful overhead weather cover.

Yet it is not a certified FOPS. Therefore, Cab 40371 does not provide certified protection from falling limbs, rocks, tools, or other objects.

Use proper protection for hazardous work.

Not Certified for Hail or Flying Debris

Cab 40371 is built for normal weather protection.

It does not provide certified protection from hail, thrown objects, impact, or flying debris. As a result, dangerous storms and debris hazards can exceed the purpose of this enclosure.

Move to safe shelter when conditions become severe.

Keep the Windshield Clear

Good visibility is essential.

First, remove snow, frost, and ice before moving the tractor. Then, make sure the windshield and other clear panels stay clean enough to see people, attachments, buildings, and obstacles.

Never drive with a blocked view.

Clean Lexan Panels With Care

Clear plastic can scratch if cleaned roughly.

Therefore, rinse loose dirt away first when possible. Use mild soap, clean water, and a soft cloth on the clear Lexan panels.

Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Cab 40371 Is Not Airtight

This cab is a practical weather enclosure.

It is not sealed like an automotive cab. Therefore, some air, dust, or wind-driven moisture may enter through normal openings.

Its purpose is to reduce direct weather exposure.

Cab 40371 Is Not Heated

The cab itself does not make heat.

Instead, the enclosure helps reduce direct wind and precipitation around the operator. As a result, winter work can feel more comfortable than it does on an open tractor.

Wear clothing suited to the conditions.

Use Safe Ventilation

A tractor cab cannot make engine exhaust safe.

Carbon monoxide can build up in a garage, shed, trailer, or other closed area. Therefore, never operate the tractor in an enclosed space because a weather cab is installed.

Always provide safe ventilation.

Keep Enclosure Material Away From Hot Parts

Diesel exhaust parts can become very hot.

So, make sure cab material stays clear of the exhaust and other hot tractor parts. Shut the tractor down before making an adjustment near the engine.

Never place enclosure material against a hot surface.

Inspect Cab 40371 Before Use

A short inspection can find a problem early.

Check the ABS roof, safety glass windshield, electric wiper, doors, latches, Lexan panels, frame, ROPS bracket, mounts, and fasteners. Then, repair any loose or damaged part before using the tractor.

Repeat the check during the season.

John Deere 2032R and 2038R Tractor Specifications

John Deere places the 2032R and 2038R in its 2 Series Compact Utility Tractor family.

Both tractors combine diesel power, hydrostatic drive, four-wheel drive, power steering, independent PTO systems, and a Category 1 three-point hitch. However, the 2038R gives the owner more engine and PTO power.

These features make both models useful for property, landscape, farm, loader, mower, and winter work.

John Deere 2032R Engine

The 2032R uses a three-cylinder liquid-cooled Yanmar diesel engine.

John Deere published specifications for this tractor list 100.2 cubic inches, or 1.642 liters, of engine displacement. In addition, the engine uses direct fuel injection and meets Final Tier 4 emissions standards.

Rated engine speed is 2,500 rpm.

John Deere 2032R Horsepower

John Deere rates the 2032R at about 30.8 engine horsepower.

Published Deere data also identifies the rating as 31.2 PS. Therefore, the 2032R provides useful compact tractor power for loader work, mowing, tilling, snow work, and other compatible jobs.

PTO power is about 25 horsepower.

John Deere 2038R Engine

The 2038R also uses a three-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel.

Published Deere specifications list 95.7 cubic inches, or 1.568 liters, of displacement. Like the 2032R, it meets Final Tier 4 emissions requirements.

Rated engine speed is 2,500 rpm.

John Deere 2038R Horsepower

John Deere lists about 36.8 engine horsepower for the 2038R in published tractor data.

That equals about 37.3 PS. As a result, the 2038R gives owners more engine output than the 2032R.

Published PTO power is about 30 horsepower.

Hydrostatic Transmission

Both tractors use a hydrostatic transmission.

John Deere uses Twin Touch foot controls for travel direction and speed. Therefore, the operator can change forward and reverse travel without using a normal gear-shift pattern.

That works well for loader and mower jobs.

Two-Range Hydrostatic Drive

The hydrostatic transmission uses a two-speed transaxle.

One range supports slower work where control matters. Meanwhile, the other range allows faster travel when conditions permit.

Always choose the safe range for the job.

Four-Wheel Drive

The 2032R and 2038R use four-wheel drive.

That can improve traction during loader work, snow removal, and work on loose ground. However, four-wheel drive does not remove the need for proper ballast and safe operating speed.

Follow the John Deere operator manual.

Hydrostatic Power Steering

John Deere equips these tractors with hydrostatic power steering.

Power steering reduces effort during repeated turns. As a result, the tractor is easier to guide during mowing, loader work, and property jobs.

The steering column also supports a comfortable operator position.

Wet Disk Brakes

The 2032R and 2038R use wet disk brakes.

John Deere also provides individual wheel braking and a parking brake. Therefore, the operator has tractor-style braking features for varied work.

Use brakes as the operator manual directs.

Independent Rear and Mid PTO

Both tractors support independent PTO operation.

Published John Deere specifications list a 540-rpm rear PTO and a 2,000-rpm mid PTO on the 2032R and 2038R generation that fits Cab 40371. In addition, the tractor can support separate or simultaneous mid and rear PTO use as designed.

Keep all PTO guards in place.

Category 1 Three-Point Hitch

A Category 1 rear three-point hitch adds implement choices.

Owners can use compatible rear blades, tillers, cutters, spreaders, and other tools within tractor limits. So, one 2 Series tractor can handle many jobs through the year.

Match every implement to Deere specifications.

2032R and 2038R Hydraulic System

John Deere uses an open-center hydraulic system on this 2 Series generation.

Published 2038R data lists a maximum total flow of about 9.1 gallons per minute. The implement pump supplies about 5.2 gallons per minute, while the steering pump supplies about 3.9 gallons per minute.

The 2032R uses the same type of work-focused hydraulic layout.

Loader and Attachment Control

A dual mid selective control valve supports compatible hydraulic attachments.

That makes loader use simple from the operator station. Therefore, these tractors can move from mowing and rear implement work to loader jobs with the right equipment.

Check all hydraulic lines before use.

2032R Fuel Capacity

John Deere lists about 8.5 to 8.6 gallons of fuel capacity for the model year 2017 and newer 2032R.

That is about 32 liters. As a result, the tractor can handle long work periods without a very small fuel tank limiting the day.

Actual run time depends on engine load.

2038R Fuel Capacity

The 2038R also carries about 8.5 to 8.6 gallons of diesel fuel.

Remember that Cab 40371 is made for the newer tractor layout with the fuel fill on the left side. Therefore, fuel-fill location remains an important cab fit check.

Confirm it before ordering.

Compact Size With Real Tractor Features

The 2 Series sits between sub-compact and larger compact tractor needs.

The 2032R and 2038R offer a larger and heavier platform than smaller machines while keeping a size that works well on many properties. In addition, their PTO, hitch, hydraulics, and loader options add broad job ability.

That makes weather protection useful through more seasons.

Loader Work With the 2 Series

John Deere designed the 2032R and 2038R for quick attachment changes.

Compatible Quik-Park loader systems help owners switch between jobs. Therefore, the tractor can move material one day and handle another implement the next.

Cab 40371 adds weather cover without changing that basic purpose.

Mid-Mount Mower Capability

John Deere supports mid-mount mowing on the 2 Series.

The current tractor family can use AutoConnect mower deck systems, with large deck options available for compatible models. As a result, these tractors can serve both lawn and compact tractor jobs.

Check overhead cab clearance near trees while mowing.

Snow Equipment Capability

John Deere also supports winter attachments for the 2032R and 2038R.

Current Deere attachment data continues to identify model-year 2017 and newer 2032R and 2038R tractors for snowblower drive and mounting components. Therefore, these machines remain well suited to seasonal snow work.

Cab 40371 can make that work more comfortable.

2032R for Property and Landscape Work

The 2032R combines about 31 engine horsepower with a compact footprint.

That gives owners useful power for mowing, loader work, landscaping, tilling, grading, and snow removal. So, Cab 40371 can help extend open-station 2032R use into wet and cold months.

Choose attachments that match the tractor.

2038R for More PTO and Engine Power

The 2038R raises engine output to about 37 horsepower.

It also provides about 30 PTO horsepower in published Deere specifications. Therefore, owners gain more power for compatible PTO and property work while retaining the useful 2 Series format.

Cab 40371 fits the same newer tractor generation.

The History of Original Tractor Cab Company

Original Tractor Cab began in 1939.

At that time, Indiana farmer Stanley Williams needed better weather protection while working on his tractor. So, he built a cab for his own machine.

That practical idea became a business.

Born From a Need on the Farm

Farm work could not always wait for good weather.

Rain, wind, snow, cold, and sun came with the job. Therefore, Stanley saw clear value in giving the tractor operator more cover.

Other farmers soon agreed.

Other Farmers Want the Same Kind of Cab

Stanley's first cab caught the attention of other farmers.

They wanted similar weather protection for their own tractors. As a result, one solution built for one farm began to show real business potential.

Demand started to grow.

A Small Farm Magazine Ad Helps Launch the Business

Stanley placed a small advertisement in a farm magazine.

The response showed that many farmers shared the same need. Therefore, his weather cab idea grew into an American manufacturing company.

Real farm work shaped the business from the start.

Original Tractor Cab During World War II

World War II changed the young company's work.

Normal tractor cab production gave way to manufacturing for the war effort. During that period, the company made backpacks and other needed goods for military use.

After the war, outdoor equipment products returned.

Tractor Cabs Grow Into a Larger Product Line

Outdoor machines changed through the following decades.

So, Original Tractor Cab changed with them. The company developed model-fit products for new tractors, lawn equipment, snow machines, mowers, and other outdoor equipment.

Its product range kept growing.

Robert Williams Expands Into Snow Equipment

The next generation brought new product ideas.

Stanley's son Robert helped expand the company's work into snowblower cabs and lawn and garden equipment. Therefore, Original Tractor Cab could help more than traditional farm tractor owners.

Weather protection moved into new markets.

Sunshades Add Warm-Weather Protection

Cold weather was only part of the challenge.

Outdoor operators also spent long hours in direct summer sun. So, the company added sunshades for tractors, mowers, and lawn and garden equipment.

The product line could now serve more seasons.

Wayne Williams and the Third Generation

A third generation continued the family business.

Stanley's grandson Wayne helped develop the company's sunshade products. As a result, Original Tractor Cab kept adapting to new equipment and new customer needs.

Three generations helped shape the company.

Made in the USA Since 1939

American manufacturing remains a key part of the Original Tractor Cab story.

Today, the company makes hardtop cabs, soft cab enclosures, tractor sunshades, mower sunshades, snow equipment cabs, and related accessories.

Cab 40371 is part of that long product history.

Original Tractor Cab in Arlington, Indiana

Original Tractor Cab remains based in Arlington, Indiana.

More than eight decades have passed since Stanley Williams made his first cab. Yet people who work outdoors still face rain, snow, sleet, wind, cold, and sun.

That keeps the original idea useful.

From Early Farm Tractors to the John Deere 2 Series

A modern John Deere 2032R or 2038R is far more advanced than a tractor from 1939.

However, an open operator station still places the driver outside in changing weather. Therefore, Cab 40371 carries the same basic idea into a modern compact utility tractor.

The machine changed, but the need stayed.

Dealer Sales Helped Build Original Tractor Cab

Equipment dealers have helped Original Tractor Cab reach customers for many years.

Dealers connected equipment owners with model-fit cabs, enclosures, and sunshades. Meanwhile, their product knowledge helped support owners of many equipment brands.

Dealer sales remain an important part of the company's story.

OriginalCab.com Adds Direct-to-Customer Sales

The way people buy equipment accessories has changed.

Today, OriginalCab.com lets owners shop directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, customers can search by tractor model and contact Original Tractor Cab when they need product or fit help.

Direct sales give customers another choice.

More Than Eight Decades of Weather Protection

Outdoor equipment will keep changing.

Yet operators will still face changing weather. So, Original Tractor Cab continues to make products that help people work with more cover from the elements.

That goal reaches back to 1939.
