LS XJ2025 & XJ2025H Hardtop Cab 12022

Keep working when cold, rain, snow, sleet, and wind arrive. Original Tractor Cab 12022 is a hardtop cab enclosure made for the LS XJ2025 and XJ2025H compact tractors.

A molded ABS plastic hardtop gives you solid cover from above. Meanwhile, clear shatter-resistant Lexan plastic surrounds key viewing areas to help you see while you work.

Hinged doors make it easy to get in and out. In addition, the model-fit cab uses holes that already exist on the tractor, so normal installation does not require drilling.

Most of all, Cab 12022 adds useful weather cover to a small tractor that can work in every season.

Original Tractor Cab 12022 for LS XJ2025 and XJ2025H

The LS XJ Series packs a lot of work into a small tractor. Owners can mow, move dirt, clear snow, use three-point tools, and handle many jobs around a home, farm, or property.

However, the open operator station puts the driver in the weather. So, Cab 12022 adds an enclosure around much of that work area.

The cab helps make cold-season work less exposed.

Model-Fit LS Tractor Cab

Cab 12022 is made for the LS XJ2025 and XJ2025H. Therefore, it is not a loose universal tractor enclosure.

Its frame, roof, windshield, doors, and rear curtain work together around the tractor's operator station. This model-fit design also lets the cab use existing tractor mounting points.

Always check your exact tractor before you order.

Important Loader Hydraulic Hose Fit Requirement

Loader hose routing is very important on this cab. The front enclosure will not fit an LS XJ2025 or XJ2025H if the loader hydraulic hoses run upward in the area used by the cab.

Instead, the loader hydraulic hoses must route downward for Cab 12022 to fit as designed. Therefore, check the hose location before you buy the cab.

Do not force the front panel around the wrong hose setup.

Check Hydraulic Hoses Before Ordering

Look at the loader hose routing on your tractor. Then, compare it with the current Cab 12022 fit instructions.

If the hoses point upward through the cab area, stop. The front enclosure will not fit that setup.

Confirm the correct hose arrangement before installation.

Fully Enclosed Hardtop Tractor Cab

Cab 12022 surrounds much of the operator station. As a result, it provides more weather cover than a simple tractor canopy.

The enclosure includes a hard roof plus clear front, side, and rear viewing areas. Meanwhile, doors help close the sides around the driver.

The cab is made for normal weather protection.

Molded ABS Plastic Hardtop

A molded ABS plastic roof forms the top of Cab 12022. The hardtop keeps its shape and gives the operator firm overhead cover.

Therefore, it helps block direct rain, snow, sleet, and overhead sun. Unlike a soft roof, the ABS top does not depend on fabric tension to hold its basic form.

The roof is not a certified safety structure.

Clear Shatter-Resistant Lexan Windows

A tractor cab needs a wide field of view. So, Cab 12022 uses clear shatter-resistant Lexan plastic in the windshield, side doors, and rear curtain.

That clear material helps you see the work area while the enclosure helps block normal weather. In addition, the large viewing areas help when you use a loader, mower, snow blower, or rear tool.

Keep all clear panels clean before use.

Wide View Around the Tractor

Good sight matters on a compact tractor. You need to see people, trees, buildings, tools, and ground hazards.

Therefore, clear material covers much of the cab's front, sides, and rear. Still, the cab can create new posts and edges in your field of view.

Look around the tractor before you move.

Replaceable Safety Glass Windshield Option

Cab 12022 comes with a clear Lexan windshield. However, owners can replace it with Original Tractor Cab safety glass windshield 10120.

The glass windshield is sold separately. So, owners who want a glass front panel can upgrade the cab later.

Use only parts made for the cab.

Glass Windshield for Cab Accessories

A glass windshield can also support compatible windshield accessories when used as directed. Therefore, it can be a useful upgrade for owners who do a lot of winter work.

Check the current accessory fit before ordering a wiper or other windshield part.

Never attach an accessory that is not made for the windshield.

Right and Left Hinged Doors

Cab 12022 has a hinged door on each side. Latches help keep the doors closed during normal tractor work.

As a result, getting into and out of the cab stays simple. Two doors also give the operator more than one side for normal access.

Check both latches before each job.

Keep Door Openings Clear

Attachments and owner-added parts can change the space around a tractor. Therefore, make sure nothing blocks either cab door.

Each door should move freely. Likewise, the operator should have a clear path out of the cab.

Fix any problem before use.

No Holes to Drill

Cab 12022 mounts through holes that already exist on the correct tractor. Therefore, normal installation does not require you to drill the LS XJ2025 or XJ2025H.

That helps keep the installation simple. It also reduces permanent changes to the tractor.

Follow the current installation guide at each step.

Do Not Force Cab Fit

Stop if a bracket or panel does not line up as shown in the instructions. Never drill or cut a safety part just to make the cab fit.

Also, do not change the ROPS to gain cab clearance. The factory ROPS is a tractor safety system.

Keep it in the correct operating condition.

About Three to Four Hours for Installation

Original Tractor Cab lists normal installation at about three to four hours. However, tools, skill, loader setup, and tractor condition can change the actual time.

So, allow enough time to do the job with care. Read the guide first and lay out all cab parts before assembly.

Never rush the installation.

About 45 Minutes for Cab Removal

Original Tractor Cab lists removal at about 45 minutes after the cab has been installed. Therefore, owners can remove the enclosure when the season changes.

Actual removal time can vary. Still, the model-fit design makes seasonal use practical.

Store removed parts in a clean, dry place.

Weather Protection for Snow Removal

The XJ2025 and XJ2025H can handle real winter work. LS lists snow removal equipment as part of the XJ Series attachment range.

However, an open tractor puts the operator in blowing snow and cold wind. Cab 12022 helps place a barrier around much of the driver.

That can make a long winter job more comfortable.

Helps Block Blowing Snow

A snow blower can send snow high into the air. Then, wind can push some of it back toward the tractor.

So, the hardtop, windshield, doors, and rear curtain help reduce direct exposure to blowing snow.

Stop and clean the windows when needed.

Weather Protection From Rain

Rain can arrive before a property job is done. Cab 12022 helps reduce the amount of direct rain that reaches the operator.

Yet the cab is not a sealed room. Wind-driven water can still enter through normal openings and gaps.

Stop work when weather becomes unsafe.

Protection From Sleet and Cold Wind

Sleet and cold wind can make an open tractor hard to use. Therefore, the enclosure helps shield the operator from much of that direct weather.

Still, Cab 12022 does not include heat. It is also not airtight.

Dress for the outdoor temperature.

Sun Protection From the Hardtop

The ABS roof also creates overhead shade. So, Cab 12022 can reduce direct sun from above when the tractor is used in warmer weather.

However, an enclosed cab can become hot in warm sun. Remove or open cab components only as allowed by the current instructions.

Never work when heat becomes unsafe.

Cab 12022 Is Not Certified Hail Protection

The ABS hardtop gives useful overhead weather cover. However, it is not a certified hail or falling-object protective structure.

Therefore, move to safe shelter during severe hail, lightning, or dangerous wind. Do not stay outside because the tractor has a hardtop.

The cab is made for normal weather use.

Not Rollover or Debris Protection

Cab 12022 is a weather enclosure. It does not provide rollover, collision, falling-object, or thrown-debris protection.

Likewise, the Lexan panels are not certified machine guards. Keep all factory guards and shields on the tractor and its tools.

Never treat the cab as a safety cage.

LS XJ2025 and XJ2025H Tractor Specifications

The LS XJ2025 and XJ2025H are small compact tractors made for many property jobs. The XJ Series combines a small size with four-wheel drive, three-point hitch power, PTO use, and support for several tools.

However, transmission details differ between the XJ2025 and XJ2025H. Therefore, use the exact tractor model when you need parts or service data.

The specifications below describe key factory data for this tractor family.

24.4 Gross Engine Horsepower

LS currently lists the XJ2025H at 24.4 gross engine horsepower. That power comes from a three-cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine.

The engine uses indirect fuel injection and water cooling. In addition, rated engine speed is 2,500 rpm.

This small diesel is made for compact tractor work.

Mitsubishi S3L2 Diesel Engine

The XJ2025H uses a Mitsubishi S3L2 engine. Factory data lists displacement at 80.4 cubic inches, or about 1.318 liters.

The three-cylinder design gives the tractor useful power in a small package. Meanwhile, water cooling helps control engine heat during work.

Follow the LS service schedule for engine care.

6.6-Gallon Fuel Tank

Factory data lists fuel capacity at 6.6 gallons. Therefore, the tractor can work for long periods without a very large fuel tank.

Use the correct diesel fuel for the tractor. Also, keep dirt and water out of the fuel system.

Clean fuel helps protect the engine.

LS XJ2025H Hydrostatic Transmission

The XJ2025H uses hydrostatic drive. Its transmission has two ranges for different types of work.

Hydrostatic drive lets the operator vary travel speed without shifting through a normal set of forward gears. As a result, it works well for loader jobs, mowing, and snow removal.

Choose a safe range for the task.

LS XJ2025 Gear Transmission

Factory comparison data lists the XJ2025 with a sliding gear transmission. That version uses six forward and two reverse speeds.

Therefore, transmission type is one clear difference between the XJ2025 and XJ2025H.

Check your tractor before ordering service parts.

Four-Wheel Drive

LS equips the XJ Series with front-wheel mechanical assist. The operator can move between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive with a control lever.

Four-wheel drive can help when traction drops. Therefore, it is useful during loader work, snow removal, and work on loose ground.

Still, four-wheel drive cannot make unsafe ground safe.

Hydrostatic Power Steering

The XJ2025H uses hydrostatic power steering. This system reduces the effort needed to turn the tractor.

That can help during loader work and other jobs with many steering changes. In addition, factory data lists about three steering-wheel turns from lock to lock.

Slow down before sharp turns.

18.5 PTO Horsepower on the XJ2025H

LS currently lists the XJ2025H at 18.5 PTO horsepower. The tractor has an independent PTO system.

A rear PTO comes standard at 540 rpm. Meanwhile, the standard mid PTO runs at 2,000 rpm.

Those PTO choices support several tractor tools.

Electro-Hydraulic PTO Clutch

An electro-hydraulic clutch controls PTO engagement. Therefore, the operator can turn the PTO on and off with a switch.

The tractor also has a PTO selector. This lets the operator select the rear PTO, mid PTO, or both as allowed for the job.

Stop the tractor before servicing PTO equipment.

Standard 2,000 RPM Mid PTO

The standard mid PTO adds useful tool options. LS lists it for equipment such as the optional 60-inch mid-mount mower and compatible front snow equipment.

As a result, the XJ Series can work through more than one season. Cab 12022 adds weather cover for those cold-season jobs.

Confirm attachment fit before use.

540 RPM Rear PTO

The standard rear PTO runs at 540 rpm. That common speed lets the tractor work with many compatible three-point tools.

However, the tool must match the tractor's horsepower, hitch, PTO, and weight limits.

Follow both tractor and implement manuals.

Category I Three-Point Hitch

The XJ2025H has a Category I three-point hitch. LS lists hitch lift capacity at 1,433 pounds at the hitch end.

Factory operator data also lists about 1,058 pounds of lift capacity 24 inches behind the lift point.

Tool weight and balance still matter.

Position Control

The hydraulic lift system uses position control. This helps the operator set the three-point hitch at a chosen position.

Therefore, it can make repeated tool settings easier during some jobs. The tractor also includes control for hitch lowering speed.

Use each control as the LS manual directs.

8.5 GPM Total Hydraulic Flow

LS lists 5.9 gallons per minute from the implement pump on the XJ2025H. The steering pump adds 2.6 gallons per minute.

Together, factory data lists total hydraulic flow at 8.5 gallons per minute. That system supports steering and tractor hydraulic work.

Keep hydraulic oil clean.

Loader Capability

LS pairs the XJ Series with loader options for material work. A loader makes the small tractor useful for dirt, mulch, gravel, snow, and many other jobs.

However, Cab 12022 has a key loader hose rule. Hydraulic hoses must route downward where required so the front cab panel can fit.

Check hose routing before cab installation.

1,091-Pound Listed Loader Lift Capacity

LS currently lists the XJ2025H with 1,091 pounds of loader lift capacity on its model page. Loader specifications can also vary by loader model and by the point where lift force is measured.

Therefore, always use the specifications for the exact loader installed on your tractor.

Never exceed its rated limits.

Compact Tractor Dimensions

LS lists the XJ2025H at about 103 inches long with the three-point hitch. Overall width with tires is about 44.9 inches.

The wheelbase is 59 inches. Therefore, the tractor stays compact enough for many property jobs while still offering useful hitch and loader capacity.

Attachments can increase overall size.

1,609-Pound Tractor Weight

Current LS specifications list tractor weight at about 1,609 pounds without ballast. Added tools, a loader, ballast, and Cab 12022 increase working weight.

As a result, trailer capacity and ground conditions must be checked for the fully equipped tractor.

Use safe transport equipment.

Industrial Tire Size

LS lists 23 x 8.5-12 industrial front tires and 33 x 12-16.5 industrial rear tires for the XJ2025H.

Tire choice can change traction and tractor height. Therefore, check the actual tires when measuring cab clearance.

Maintain the correct tire pressure.

Wet Multi-Disc Brakes

The XJ2025H uses wet multi-disc brakes. These brakes operate within the tractor's drive system.

Good brakes matter on every job. So, inspect and service the tractor as the LS manual directs.

Never use a tractor with a known brake problem.

Compact Size With Many Tool Choices

The XJ Series can use a loader, backhoe, mower, snow equipment, and many three-point tools when equipped correctly.

Therefore, one small tractor can serve many needs through the year. Cab 12022 helps extend operator weather cover into rain, cold, wind, and snow.

That mix makes the XJ Series highly useful for property work.

The History of Original Tractor Cab Company

Original Tractor Cab began in 1939. Indiana farmer Stanley Williams needed better cover from the weather while he worked on his tractor.

So, Stanley made a cab for his own machine. Other farmers soon saw the idea and wanted weather protection too.

A simple farm solution became a business.

Born From a Real Need on the Farm

Stanley knew the problem firsthand. Farm work still had to get done when the day was cold, wet, windy, or snowy.

Therefore, better operator cover had clear value. His first cab helped solve a real problem instead of creating a product for a made-up need.

Other farmers quickly understood the idea.

A Farm Magazine Ad Helps Start the Business

Interest in Stanley's cab began to grow. Then, he placed a small ad in a farm magazine.

The response showed that farmers in other areas had the same need. As a result, Stanley started a company to make tractor cabs for the major tractor brands of that time.

Original Tractor Cab traces its business to 1939.

American Manufacturing Takes Root

The company grew around practical products for people who work outdoors. Weather changed from day to day, but the work still had to get done.

So, Original Tractor Cab kept making products that helped place a barrier between operators and the elements.

That goal remains easy to understand today.

Original Tractor Cab During World War II

World War II changed the young company's work. Normal cab production gave way to manufacturing for the war effort.

During that time, Original Tractor Cab made canvas items for military use. After the war, the company returned to products for tractors and outdoor equipment.

Its product range continued to grow.

Snowblower Cabs Arrive in the 1960s

Stanley's son Robert Williams later saw another weather problem. People using walk-behind snowblowers worked directly in cold wind and blowing snow.

Therefore, Robert designed and patented a cab for walk-behind snowblowers in the 1960s. Lawn and garden tractor cabs followed soon after.

The company had moved into a new market.

Weather Protection for Lawn and Garden Equipment

Outdoor power equipment became more common. Garden tractors, snowblowers, and mowers also became more capable.

As a result, Original Tractor Cab developed weather en ```
