New Holland Boomer 30, 35, 40 & 50 Hardtop Cab 40309 | Original Tractor Cab

Add foul-weather protection to your New Holland Boomer compact tractor with Original Tractor Cab Hardtop Cab 40309.

Rain, snow, sleet, and cold wind can make tractor work hard. So, Cab 40309 creates an enclosed operator area for select New Holland Boomer 30, 35, 40, and 50 tractors.

The cab uses a strong 16-gauge steel tube frame with durable rip-stop vinyl. In addition, a glass windshield and electric windshield wiper help provide a clear view during wet or snowy weather. Clear, shatter-resistant Lexan windows provide visibility to the sides and rear.

Most important, check your tractor before you order. Cab 40309 only fits the listed New Holland Boomer models when the fuel tank is located behind the seat.

Original Tractor Cab makes products for people who work outdoors. Better yet, you can now buy direct from the company that makes the cab.

Original Tractor Cab 40309 for New Holland Boomer Tractors

A compact tractor can work all year. However, an open operator station leaves you exposed to the weather.

That is where Original Tractor Cab 40309 can help.

This aftermarket tractor cab surrounds the operator with a windshield, clear windows, doors, and a hard roof. As a result, you get much more foul-weather coverage than you have on an open tractor.

Cold air can make a short job feel long. Likewise, blowing snow can make winter work less pleasant.

Therefore, adding a cab can make your Boomer more useful when the weather turns bad.

Fits Select New Holland Boomer 30, 35, 40 and 50 Tractors

Correct fit comes first.

Cab 40309 fits select New Holland Boomer 30, Boomer 35, Boomer 40, and Boomer 50 compact tractors. However, the tractor must have its fuel tank behind the operator seat.

Dealer fitment information lists the Boomer 30 from 2011–2013 and Boomer 50 from 2011–2013. It also lists compatible Boomer 35 and Boomer 40 applications. Because New Holland reused some Boomer model names in later generations, the fuel-tank location is a key fit check.

Do not order by model name alone.

Instead, confirm your exact tractor and fuel tank location first. If you have any doubt, use the Original Tractor Cab contact page before placing your order.

Hardtop Cab Protection for Rain, Snow and Cold Wind

Bad weather does not mean the work stops.

Snow still needs to be moved. Likewise, livestock chores, property care, loader work, and other jobs still need attention.

Cab 40309 adds a barrier between you and the weather.

The windshield helps block wind and blowing snow from the front. Meanwhile, the doors and rear enclosure add coverage around the operator.

As a result, winter tractor work can become much more pleasant.

16-Gauge Steel Tube Cab Frame

A cab needs a strong base.

Therefore, Cab 40309 uses a 16-gauge steel tube frame. Durable rip-stop vinyl covers much of that frame. Dealer information describes the material as resistant to abrasion, water, mildew, and rot.

This construction keeps the design practical.

Rather than adding a large factory-style cab, Original Tractor Cab gives owners an aftermarket enclosure made for compatible open-station tractors.

Glass Windshield and Electric Wiper

Visibility matters in bad weather.

So, Cab 40309 comes with a glass front windshield and electric windshield wiper.

Rain can collect on the glass. Likewise, wet snow can reduce your forward view.

The powered wiper helps clear the windshield while you work. Therefore, you do not need to stop and reach outside to operate a hand wiper.

That feature can be especially useful during snow removal.

Clear Lexan Side and Rear Windows

You need to see more than what is directly ahead.

For that reason, clear, shatter-resistant Lexan material is used in the cab's window areas. Dealer product information identifies clear material in the doors and rear portion of the enclosure for visibility around the tractor.

That wide view matters during loader work.

It also helps while backing, mowing, clearing snow, and working around buildings or other objects.

Hinged Doors Make Entry Easy

Getting into your tractor should stay simple after you add a cab.

Cab 40309 uses hinged doors with latches. Therefore, you can enter and leave the operator station without removing enclosure panels.

The doors also provide another useful feature.

You can remove them during warm weather. As a result, the hard roof can continue to serve as an overhead sunshade when full enclosure is not needed.

That gives Cab 40309 value beyond winter.

Use the Hardtop as a Summer Canopy

Weather changes with the season.

In winter, you may want the doors and enclosure in place. However, a warm summer day calls for more airflow.

Remove the doors as directed, and the roof remains above the operator.

Therefore, one product can provide foul-weather enclosure during colder months and overhead shade during warmer weather.

No-Hole Installation on Compatible Boomer Tractors

Many tractor owners do not want to drill holes in their equipment.

Fortunately, Cab 40309 mounts through existing holes on compatible tractors. Dealer information states that no drilling is needed for normal installation.

That helps make installation more straightforward.

Original Tractor Cab's dealer information estimates installation at less than four hours. Actual time can vary based on tools, experience, and tractor condition.

Before starting, read the instructions.

The original Cab 40309 manual confirms the New Holland Boomer 30, 35, 40, and 50 application and contains important installation, operation, transport, and safety information.

You can also visit the Original Tractor Cab installation manuals page for current product support.

Important Open-Trailer Transport Information

A tractor cab sees very different forces at road speed.

For that reason, Original Tractor Cab instructs owners to remove the vinyl panels before transporting the tractor on an open truck or trailer.

Do not ignore this step.

Road-speed wind can put far more force on enclosure panels than normal tractor operation.

Therefore, remove the vinyl panels before open transport and follow the instructions supplied with Cab 40309.

New Holland Boomer 30, 35, 40 and 50 Specifications

The New Holland Boomer tractors associated with Cab 40309 span more than one model generation.

That distinction matters.

New Holland has reused Boomer 35, Boomer 40, and Boomer 50 names on later machines with different specifications. For example, current New Holland information lists today's Boomer 35 at 35 horsepower, Boomer 40 at 40 horsepower, and Boomer 50 at 50 horsepower. Those figures should not be confused with the earlier Boomer generation associated with the original 40309 application.

For this reason, the following specifications focus first on the earlier Boomer 30/35/40/50 family.

Original Boomer 30, 35, 40 and 50 Power

New Holland's published Boomer 25–50 technical data lists the Boomer 30 at 28 gross horsepower.

The same literature rates the Boomer 35 at 38 horsepower, Boomer 40 at 41 horsepower, and Boomer 50 at 47 horsepower.

Therefore, this tractor family covered a broad compact-tractor power range.

That made the Boomer line useful for mowing, loader work, property care, snow removal, and many other jobs.

New Holland Boomer 30 Engine

The earlier Boomer 30 uses a 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine.

New Holland literature lists gross power at 28 horsepower and a rated engine speed of 2,600 rpm. Fuel capacity is about 8.7 gallons, or 33 liters.

The Boomer 30 also offered mechanical and hydrostatic transmission choices.

Its rear PTO operates at 540 rpm. Depending on transmission, published PTO output is about 22 to 23 horsepower.

New Holland Boomer 35 Engine and Power

The earlier Boomer 35 has 38 gross horsepower.

New Holland's technical literature lists a 1.8-liter engine and a fuel tank capacity of about 8.7 gallons.

Published PTO power is about 31 horsepower with the gear transmission and 29 horsepower with hydrostatic drive.

That level of power gives the Boomer 35 useful capacity for many compact tractor jobs.

However, owners should remember that New Holland later introduced another Boomer 35.

The newer generation uses a 1.9-liter three-cylinder turbocharged diesel rated at 35 gross horsepower.

Therefore, the words “Boomer 35” alone should never be used to confirm Cab 40309 fit.

New Holland Boomer 40 Specifications

New Holland lists the earlier Boomer 40 at 41 gross horsepower.

Its engine displacement is about 2.5 liters, while fuel capacity is about 9.5 gallons or 36 liters.

The rear PTO runs at 540 rpm.

Published PTO power is about 34 horsepower with the gear transmission and 32 horsepower with hydrostatic drive.

Again, New Holland later reused the Boomer 40 name.

Today's Boomer 40 is a different tractor rated at about 40 horsepower.

That is why model generation and physical fit must be checked before buying Cab 40309.

New Holland Boomer 50 Specifications

The earlier Boomer 50 sits at the top of this four-model group.

New Holland literature lists 47 gross horsepower from a roughly 2.5-liter diesel engine. Fuel capacity is about 9.5 gallons.

Published rear PTO output is about 39 horsepower with the gear transmission and 37 horsepower with hydrostatic drive.

New Holland also offers a later Boomer 50 generation.

The current New Holland Boomer lineup rates that model at 50 horsepower.

Therefore, confirm cab compatibility rather than assuming every tractor named Boomer 50 fits part 40309.

New Holland Boomer Transmission Choices

The earlier Boomer family gave owners several transmission choices.

New Holland technical data lists mechanical and hydrostatic options across much of the range. The Boomer 30 and 35 could use a 12x12 mechanical transmission or three-range hydrostatic system, while the larger Boomer 40 and 50 offered additional transmission configurations.

Hydrostatic drive can be useful for jobs that require frequent speed and direction changes.

Meanwhile, a mechanical transmission may suit owners who prefer traditional gear operation.

Either way, Cab 40309 does not change the tractor's basic operating controls.

A Useful Cab for Loader and Snow Work

Compact tractors earn their keep through many jobs.

A loader can move mulch, soil, gravel, firewood, feed, and snow. Meanwhile, rear attachments can mow, grade, till, or maintain property.

Winter adds another group of jobs.

A Boomer tractor may push snow, carry material, clear drives, or help with farm chores during cold weather.

That is when an enclosure can become especially useful.

Cab 40309 helps reduce direct exposure to wind and precipitation while keeping clear areas around the operator.

As a result, you can get more foul-weather comfort from a tractor you already own.

Why Buy Cab 40309 Direct from Original Tractor Cab?

Buying direct connects you with the company behind the enclosure.

That can be important with an older tractor.

Fit questions are often more complex when manufacturers reuse model names. Therefore, having your tractor information ready before ordering can help avoid choosing the wrong cab.

Original Tractor Cab can help you review the model and application.

The History of Original Tractor Cab Company

Original Tractor Cab has deep roots in American outdoor equipment.

The company's products have long focused on a simple need: helping people who operate tractors and other outdoor machines get more protection from the elements.

Today, Original Tractor Cab operates from Arlington, Indiana. The company supports customers directly from its facility at 6849 W. Front Street.

From Tractor Cabs to Modern Equipment Accessories

Outdoor equipment has changed greatly over the years.

Compact tractors became more powerful. Zero-turn mowers became common. Snow-removal equipment changed as well.

So, Original Tractor Cab's product range grew.

Today, the company offers cabs for lawn tractors, garden tractors, compact tractors, snow blowers, and utility vehicles. It also makes sunshades for tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles.

Yet the basic purpose remains easy to understand.

Build practical products for people who spend time working outdoors.

Made for Equipment Owners Who Keep Machines Working

Cab 40309 is a good example of that approach.

The compatible Boomer tractors are not all new machines. In fact, the original Boomer 30, 35, 40, and 50 family dates to the early 2010s.

Yet many of these tractors remain at work.

A well-kept compact tractor can serve its owner for years. Therefore, access to aftermarket products can help owners continue using equipment that still has useful life.

Original Tractor Cab supports that market with model-specific enclosures, sunshades, replacement parts, and installation information.

American Manufacturing and Direct Customer Support

Original Tractor Cab now serves customers through its own online store as well as its established dealer network.

That direct approach gives equipment owners another way to find the right product.

Instead of searching through generic cab listings, customers can start with their machine make and model.

Then, they can check important fit details before buying.

For Cab 40309, that means checking not only for a Boomer 30, 35, 40, or 50 model name, but also confirming the required fuel-tank location.

That small detail can prevent a costly fit mistake.
